New Watches of 2021
TAG Heuer Carrera Porsche Chronograph
Watches have long been influenced by motorsports, but collaborations with automakers rarely guarantee a spot on the sales podium. This timepiece features a distinctive tachymeter scale engraved on the bezel. The Porsche colours of red, black, and grey which also recall historic Heuer models are incorporated throughout the watch. On clear display through the transparent crystal case back is the oscillating mass. This has been redesigned in affectionate tribute to Porsche’s celebrated steering wheel. It is printed with Porsche and TAG Heuer. The dial’s asphalt effect, created especially for this watch, perfectly expresses a passion for the road. This also includes Arabic numerals which suggest the numbers on the dashboard of fine Porsche sports cars.
Rolex Datejust 36mm
This Oyster Perpetual Datejust 36 in Oystersteel features an olive green, palm motif dial and an Oyster bracelet. The light reflections on the case sides and lugs highlight the elegant profile of the 36 mm Oyster case. This is fitted with a domed bezel. Aesthetically, the Datejust has spanned eras, while retaining the enduring codes that make it one of the most recognised watches.
Rolex Daytona 40mm
This year, Rolex has introduced a new dial for the Daytona. This is the meteorite motif, with its origins in the far reaches of the solar system. The material of the new dial comes from an asteroid that exploded millions of years ago. This magnificent new dial is housed by a 40mm white gold case. This model in particular sits on an oysterflex strap however Rolex have also released models with the traditional oyster bracelet.
