New Audemars Piguet Royal Oak models!
Today we are taking a look at two of the new Royal Oak models which have just been unveiled to the public. The two new models we are covering include a range of precious gems ranging from Ruby to amethyst.
Starting things off with the most eye catching of them all, we have the Royal Oak Frosted Gold Double Balance Wheel Openworked. This features a 41 mm pink gold case and bracelet which are finished with Frosted Gold while the bezel is set with baguette-cut multicoloured gemstones. The rainbow they create illuminates the openworked slate grey movement. The astonishing openworked slate grey dial obtains pink gold applied hour-markers and Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating. This is housed by a glare proofed sapphire crystal and case back. This sits on a hammered 18-carat pink gold bracelet with an AP folding clasp.
The Royal Oak Frosted Gold Double Balance Wheel Openworked is capable of remaining water resistant to a depth of fifty meters. It features a self-winding mechanism which functions amongst the 245 total parts of this piece. 32 of these are the individual baguette gems which surround the dial. This timepiece also has a power reserve of 45 hours.
The attention to detail at the heart of these timepieces and their interplay of colours, materials and refined decorations draw inspirations from diverse worlds. This piece has many more implications than to just be a watch, Audemars Piguet have aimed to symbolise our diversity and relevant topics of this age.
Moving on to the second piece we are covering today. I present the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Self Winding Chronograph. The 18-carat pink gold case and bracelet are elegantly enhanced by a bezel set with 32 baguette-cut amethysts and a dial displaying a range of purple hues that dance and change colour in the light. The case has a diameter of 38mm and a thickness of 11mm, this features the eye-catching bezel with 32 baguette cut amethysts surrounding the purple dial with “Grande Tapisserie” pattern. As well as purple chronograph counters, 18-carat pink gold applied hour-markers and Royal Oak hands with a luminescent coating. This sits on a 18-carat pink gold bracelet with an AP folding clasp.
This piece is also water resistant to a depth of fifty meters and features the self-winding calibre 2385. This also includes a total of 304 parts, amongst that are 37 jewels and 32 of these are the amethyst that surround the bezel.
